Shiri Klima is an associate in the Public Law Department at Richards, Watson & Gershon. Ms. Klima currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the Cities of Highland, Indio, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Yucaipa. Ms. Klima's public law experience includes the Subdivision Map Act, the First Amendment, the Brown Act, the Public Records Act, conflicts of interest, election law, public works, water law issues, school district relations, and contract drafting. Ms. Klima was a summer associate at RW&G in 2007.

Ms. Klima obtained her law degree from the University of Southern California Law School. During law school, Ms. Klima served as a staff member and later Notes Editor of the Review of Law and Social Justice. In addition, Ms. Klima served on the board of the Women’s Law Association, and was the Vice President and later President of her class through the Student Bar Association.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Klima taught three years through Teach For America and earned her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

Ms. Klima is the author of "The Children We Leave Behind: Effects of High-Stakes Testing on Dropout Rates," 17 S. Cal. Rev. L. & Soc. Just. 3 (Fall 2007).
