Bill Strausz is a shareholder in the
Public Finance Department at Richards, Watson & Gershon with
more than 35 years of experience representing local public agencies
in the areas of public finance, public law and redevelopment law.
Mr. Strausz has served as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and issuer's
counsel in a wide range of transactions involving cities, counties,
school districts, special districts, joint powers authorities and
redevelopment agencies throughout the State of California. Mr. Strausz
currently serves as successor agency legal counsel for the cities
of Blythe, Industry, Manteca, and Palm Desert, and serves as special
counsel to numerous other sucessor agencies. He has overseen or supervised significant
redevelopment projects, including hotels, theater complexes, shopping
malls, public golf courses and large affordable housing projects.
Mr. Strausz is the Chair of the Firm's Public Finance Department and
serves on the Firm's Management Committee. He is also a member of the
National Association of Bond Lawyers.
