Catherine represents cities, special districts, and other public agencies on labor and employment issues such as drafting and implementing personnel policies, discrimination and harassment prevention, reasonable accommodation and the interactive process, discipline and termination.
Work for Clients
Catherine conducts personnel investigations and provides training to ensure compliance with new labor and employment laws. She represents clients in personnel hearings, including appeals of discipline. Catherine is also an experienced labor negotiator.
Prior to joining Richards, Watson & Gershon, Catherine worked in Labor Relations for a large California public agency for six years. She has argued discipline appeals and grievance arbitrations, advised managers on labor & employment best practices, and negotiated labor contracts.
