Christopher Dykzeul

Chris is an associate attorney in the Public Law Department, serving cities and local agencies in Northern California. Chris's practice focuses on public contracting with a concentration on public finance and real estate. Additionally, Chris assists public agency clients on drafting ordinances and resolutions, procurement, purchasing policies and procedures, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and legal research.

Work for Clients

Chris has helped public staff navigate partnership agreements, public debenture notes, cell tower and lease agreements, development projects, public record requests and ordinances for homeless assistance. Chris' clients include the City of Fairfield, Mill Valley and Davis, as well as joint power authorities and community choice aggregates, including East Bay Clean Energy, Silicon Valley Clean Energy and Pioneer Community Energy.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Richards, Watson & Gershon in 2021, Chris worked as a Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco. While there he assisted the San Francisco City and County Employees Retirement System in public and private investments; negotiating contract terms within private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge fund partnerships agreements. Prior to his life as a Deputy City Attorney, Chris worked at Deloitte, assisting public companies navigate the requirements imposed by state and local tax provisions.
