Overview
Our public finance attorneys assist public agencies in all aspects of the proceedings to form districts for the levy of taxes and assessments. We have assisted public agencies in the formation of community facilities districts (Mello-Roos districts), and assessment districts, including Landscaping and Lighting Act districts and business improvement districts. We assist with assessment balloting proceedings and elections, and prepare all required ballots, notices, resolutions and ordinances. We also review engineer reports, including the assessment methodology and descriptions of general and special benefits.
