RWG lawyers advise cities, districts and other public agencies on the legal requirements for the investment of public funds.
We advise treasurers in the preparation of sound investment policies for adoption by the City Council or other agency legislative boards in accordance with California Government Code Section 53646 and the ongoing reporting of the status and performance of investments pursuant to the investment policies of the City Council or other agency legislative board.
RWG lawyers are experts in the various investments available in the financial markets. This enables us to advise treasurers as to whether such investments meet the legal requirements for investments under Government Code Section 53601. We also advise treasurers on fulfilling their fiduciary duties to the public in determining whether an authorized investment meets the prudent investor rule of Government Code Section 53600.3.
