Land Use Planning & Zoning (Litigation)

Overview

Land use often involves fundamental questions of community character and identity, economic development potential, and protection of local resources.  To that end, a public agency’s decision to approve or deny a land use project may result in legal challenges.  When that occurs, RWG’s seasoned team of attorneys is ready to help.

Because land use is central to our practice, we are well versed in all types of legal challenges that may arise.  We frequently handle litigation related to general plans, specific plans, zoning ordinances, variances, conditional use permits, building permits, historic resource preservation issues, and open space decisions.  We also assist our clients in positioning matters at the administrative stage to lead to the best outcome in future litigation.

Whatever the land use matter, RWG’s attorneys have the knowledge, experience, and skill to handle land use litigation from the trial court through the appellate courts.
