Overview

Whitney Floratos is an associate in the Eminent Domain Department at Richards, Watson & Gershon. Whitney represents municipalities and public agencies in all phases of the eminent domain process, from the pre-acquisition phase through trial.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Richards, Watson & Gershon, Whitney developed a comprehensive background in real property disputes relating to housing, construction, and rights of way. Prior to law school, Whitney worked as an Outeach Specialist to assist in the negotiation of easement disputes with members of the community relating to a major natural gas pipeline in the Bay Area. While attending law school, Whitney focused her studies on Environmental law and clerked with the United States Department of Justice on the 5th Amendment Takings team. Once admitted to the California Bar in 2021, Whitney has litigated a variety of civil matters, focusing on construction and housing.
